Inventor Professional

More productive design in Autodesk Inventor

Autodesk Inventor takes you beyond 3D with digital prototypes. By helping you create an accurate 3D model, you can design and visualize, but also simulate your products even before they are manufactured. With the help of digital prototypes in Inventor, companies can develop better products and reduce the costs of product development and thereby quickly introduce their products to the market.

The program offers a wide range of tools that are meant to facilitate the transition from 2D to 3D design, which helps users to become productive immediately. Intuitive sketching and direct modeling provide an uninterrupted workflow which in turn quickly explores and evaluates concepts. Autodesk Inventor is preconfigured to integrate with Autodesk® Vault, a centralized data management software. As a result, you will be able to enable workgroups to store and manage design data and related documents during an ongoing project.

Work with a complete set of tools for design and technology: Use tools for mechanical construction in 3D, documentation and simulation. You will be able to work efficiently with a combination of direct, parametric, free-form and rule-based design capabilities.

With built-in collaboration tools in Autodesk Inventor, you create fast feedback: Work anywhere and with anyone, regardless of the CAD software used. By using cloud-based design reviews, you get feedback from key stakeholders, wherever they are. Via a data model, you can also follow the entire product development.

Meet the demand for automated processes and customized products: Using iLogic, you can enable quick reconfiguration of compilations. You can also create designs with special tools for sheet metal and frame design. From a customizable content library, you can also select standard components for screw connections, gears, cams and much more.

New features in Inventor 2024

  • General
  • Explore enhancements for viewing your designs and rendering creation.
  • Section view definition persists in the design view representation.
  • Part modeling
  • See improvements to sheet metal creation for closed loop sketch geometry.
  • The mark feature continues to see updates for more complex geometry.
  • Assembly modeling
  • A new "Oriented minimum bounding box" option is added to the Options tab of the Derived Part, Derive, Assembly and Make Part dialogs.
  • Additional options are available patterning features and components
  • Finish feature
  • Capture manufacturing processes with the new Finish Feature by combining appearance data with properties to describe / document real-world processes
  • 3D annotations
  • Create and edit weld and sub weld symbols in a part or assembly model.
  • Drawings
  • Add sketch-based revision clouds to your drawings. They are easy to edit, and you will find formatting options available in the Styles Editor. Include edge symbols based on ISO standards.
